P90X Recipes – Food that is ideal for the P90X Workout!
These recipes are ideal for those who are looking for a great diet that works well with the P90X workout. P90X recipes are now becoming more & more popular on the internet, as the workout gathers more steam and becomes one of the most popular programs available to any person looking to lose weight fast!.
Ingredients:
2 cups Dried, clean lentils
1lb hot or spicy sausage
28oz can whole peeled tomatoes
1 diced carrot
1 large chopped onion
2 diced sticks of celery
2 crushed garlic cloves
8 cups chicken broth
Add to taste:
Black pepper
Red Pepper flakes
Oregano
Thyme
Fennel
Bay Leaf
Tablespoon of oil
Heat up 1tbsp of oil in a large saucepan, then add in your diced celery, carrot, onion and your crushed garlic clove. Start to sauté the mixture until all ingredients are tender to a knife prod.
Remove the ingredients from the saucepan, placing them in a bowl, and then add the sausage to the pan. Cook until the sausage is browned to your liking. Drain all the fat and oil from the pan, and remove the sausage.
In a large cooking pot, pour in the chicken broth in, add the vegetables, sausage and then the can of tomatoes. For best results, use from room temperature, and with the back of a spoon, squash the tomatoes in a bowl, then pour into the cooking pot. At this point you should add your lentils, and then season to taste.
Bring the mixture to the boil, and then allow to simmer for around 45 minutes. If you have added the bay leaf, you can take it out at this point.
